Quickly delete your search history of the past fifteen minutes? Now it’s possible
Sometimes you look for things on the internet that you don’t necessarily want others to see. It doesn’t have to be something pornographic or an embarrassing medical problem: you might not want to be laughed at for using Google to do simple calculations, looking up how to cook an egg, or Googling romantic date tips to tell your crush. to make sense. Whatever the reason, it is now finally possible to delete the search history of the past 15 minutes on Google in the Android app.
Delete search history
Within Google’s Android app, it was already possible to delete your search history, but not for such a short period of time. It wasn’t possible on the writer’s device yet, but if you already have it, it should appear as an option when you’re in the Google app, tap your profile button at the top right and then choose “search history”. It is also possible that it is immediately in that menu under ‘search history’.
You can then choose: delete today, delete custom scope, delete all activity or delete automatically. Remove the last 15 minutes as a possibility here. Useful for clearing “secret” searches in case someone else might see them, without having to delete previous searches you’d like to keep.

Google Android app
The striking thing is that this function already appeared on iOS well in mid-2021, but is only now making the transition to Android. The feature was announced at Google I/O in May 2021, after which it came to iOS in July. In principle, the feature was also supposed to come to Android later that year, but it seems that Google has not quite succeeded. Whether this option will also come to the desktop is still unknown.
