Instagram will allow videos of up to 60 seconds in Stories
Function Stories used by users of the service Instagram more often than traditional contributions, despite the fact that their length is limited in time. According to the portal PhoneArena however, the time limit for Stories videos should soon be extended to 60 seconds.
No more frequent splitting videos into multiple stories?
Instagram wants to better compete with the TikTok and Snapchat services with the planned improvements, from which it took over the function of Stories in the past. Currently, they can have a maximum length of 15 seconds. While this is not a problem with photo stories, it can be a problem with videos. Due to the time interval, the user often has to think about which part of the video he wants to see if he does not want to publish more than one Story at the same time.
The new change will therefore allow you to upload a 60-second video to a Story without automatically splitting it into multiple Stories. This option is currently being tested on select users in Turkey. In addition, Instagram is testing a sophisticated posting interface that will make it easier for you to mention other accounts or add a location to your post.
It is currently not confirmed when the new features will be tested and when they will be available in a stable version. However, once implemented, they are sure to make a big difference in the way Stories are published in video format and multiply the amount of content shared. Users will decide whether Instagram will be more attractive and better compete with TikTok and Snapchat.
