Carbon Mobile comes with ‘Carbon 1 MK II’: light carbon fiber smartphone
Carbon Mobile is a German manufacturer that you may not have heard of. The start-up today presents its latest smartphone which is completely made of carbon fiber, making it very light.
Carbon 1 MK II
The Carbon 1 MK II is a flagship, according to the German consumer electronics developer. After years of experimenting with the use of carbon fiber, we see that with this device. It is characterized by an advanced design. The parts are mounted directly on the housing and there is no frame. According to Carbon Mobile, the smartphone is 25 percent thinner and 35 percent lighter than an Apple iPhone 11. It also contains 7 percent less plastic than the average smartphone. The Carbon 1 MK II is also coming to the Netherlands. The device is handmade.
With a weight of 125 grams, it is a very light device. In addition, it is only 6.3 millimeters thick. Carbon Mobile provides the device with a 6.01-inch AMOLED screen with Full-HD + resolution. In addition, the smartphone made of carbon fiber is equipped with a Helio P90 octa-core chipset from MediaTek and there is 8GB of RAM. The internal memory comes to a hefty 256GB. There is a 16MP camera on the back, one with 20MP at the front. From the box, the device runs on Android 10. In May, the update to Android 11 for the Carbon 1 MK II must be rolled out.
The device will come to the Netherlands on March 12 for an amount of 799 euros.
