Many Instagram accounts are suddenly suspended, malfunction?

Many Instagram users have been experiencing problems with the app since Monday afternoon. They receive a notification that their Instagram account has been suspended.

The affected Instagram users are reporting massively on Twitter. Their accounts suddenly appear to have been suspended. Re-login does not work and attempts to restore the credentials also fail. Accounts that are suspended or disabled are not adhering to the Community Guidelines or Terms of Use, but it now appears to be an Instagram outage. There are a lot of reports about the same problem in a short time. Not only on Twitter but also at Allestoringen.nl. The latter mainly reports problems related to the app. It is not yet clear what problems with the app are involved.

Instagram has since responded to the issues via Twitter: “We are aware that some of you are having trouble accessing your Instagram account. We are investigating and apologize for the inconvenience.” Hopefully, the accounts that were incorrectly disabled can be reinstated as soon as possible.
