The housing is also made of strong titanium and the glass of sapphire. The wheel on the side can also be operated with gloves on, a must when it is very cold.
At 2000 nits, it looks like Apple has brought the OLEDs from the iPhone 14 Pro to this impressive smartwatch. A special night mode ensures that your view is not obstructed once your eyes have adjusted to the darkness.
On the other side of the Apple Watch Ultra is a programmable action button. By pressing it again and again, you can browse between the various apps that are installed on the smartwatch. For example, the watch, the compass, a stopwatch and, for example, a depth sounder, with water temperature gauge, when you go diving. Did we say: adventurous? The depth sounder works up to 40 meters.
But you can of course still use this smartwatch for conversations and to give commands to the personal Apple Assistant Siri. This smartwatch also contains a siren and an alarm button. The battery in the smartwatch lasts at least one and a half days. Even 60 hours if you have switched on the economical mode.

In short, a spectacular amount of features that make this smartwatch a lot more interesting than the rather boring iPhone 14. You pay the top price for that. In the US, the Apple Watch Ultra costs around $ 800, in the Netherlands even around € 1000. That is an amount that you already pay for a top-class smartphone and therefore quite a substantial amount.
