AirTag, the answer from Apple
The AirTag was developed by Apple as its own version of the Tile Pro keyfinder. The AirTag only works in combination with Apple products, such as iPhones. The advantage is that the small size, about the size of a coin, makes it possible to conceal the AirTag unobtrusively. The price is about the same as the Tile Pro.
The strength of the AirTag is that it can work together with the advanced chips in the latest iPhones. This allows you to determine the location very accurately if you are within range, for example if you have lost it somewhere in the house. That makes searching a lot easier, especially in a large house. Also, the Bluetooth connection almost never falters, where this tracker scores better than the Tile Pro.
Can’t find the Airtag in your house? Then the entire Apple network is enabled to find the device. If it comes within range of another iPhone, it sends a signal to Apple with the location of the AirTag. Do you have an iPhone, and do you want to be able to hide the key finder unobtrusively? Then this is definitely something to consider.
The device is less suitable for spying on another Apple user. The AirTag reports to every iPhone in the area, so this user will immediately notice that something strange is going on.
