Apple would be close to launching a rental offer including the iPhone and a service pack
L’iPhone is an expensive smartphone, very expensive even since the September 7 keynote and the announcement of the iPhone 14/14 Pro. Probably aware of the risk of offering an iPhone for the single category of CSP++, Apple is working on a way to alleviate the pain. In addition to the installment purchase on credit and at zero interest (already available), the Cupertino would put the finishing touches to a rental service comprising the iPhone and a service pack (Apple One + Apple Care for example). The journalist Mark Gurman who reports the information adds that this rental offer could be launched by the end of 2022 or the beginning of next year. Note that this would be a rental offer and not a leasing (no possible purchase of the smartphone in proportion to the payments already made at the end of the period).
The rental formula would be available in several offers, probably depending on the duration (24 or 36 months for example), the iPhone model and the range of related services. Some models might not even benefit from this service. Will Apple take advantage of the supposed October keynote to formalize this new financial lever?
