The Samsung Galaxy S23 is already doing the rounds in the rumor circuit. The phones will be announced on February 1. Now we will learn more about the camera software.

Camera software on Galaxy S23

Samsung will release three new models from the Samsung Galaxy S23 series on February 1. Expectations are high and for the Ultra we expect, among other things, a 200 megapixel camera. But not only the hardware should impress. The software is also an important point in smartphones today. Samsung is said to be planning to add three new features to the S23 series camera software.

What can we expect? First of all, there is the hyperlapse video mode. With this you have to make beautiful shots of the sky, especially when it is dark. This piece of software may only be available for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Another feature in development is a new version of Pro mode, which you can use for the selfie cam. You can already use Pro mode for the rear camera, for things like adjusting exposure, shutter speed and ISO.

The third feature reported on is RAW file processing. The Samsung Galaxy S23 series should make it possible to store RAW files of 50 megapixels, in addition to the standard JPG format. With current models, the RAW files have a resolution of 12 megapixels.

The message has been circulating for some time that Samsung wants to take major steps with the photo cameras on the devices, especially in the dark hours. On February 1, we will hear all the details from Samsung. DroidApp will of course report extensively on this.
