Tip 1: Easily create a wallpaper from your own photos
There is a very easy way to turn one of your photos into a wallpaper (with the right dimensions). You do this in the following way.
Create iPhone wallpaper from your own photos
- Open the ‘Photos’ app on your iPhone;
- Tap the photo you want to turn into an iPhone wallpaper;
- Tap on ‘Edit’ at the top;
- Choose the crop icon, this is the icon with the square and the two arrows at the bottom of the screen;
- Tap the dimensions icon at the top, this is the icon to the right of ‘Recovery’;
- Choose the option ‘Background’ at the bottom;
- Drag your photo to where you want it in the frame, then tap Done.
Tip 2: Quickly find apps on your iPhone
Sometimes you don’t use an app often and you quickly lose where it can be found on your iPhone. There are a number of useful ways that you can quickly find apps on your iPhone.
Using App Library
Every iPhone has the App Library as the last page of apps. This contains all the apps that you have on your iPhone. You can find the App Library on the iPhone and iPad by swiping left a few times on the home screen.
Then tap in the search field at the top and you will see an alphabetical overview of all apps. Here it is also possible to search for an app. Also handy: by swiping your finger over the column of letters, you can quickly browse through all the apps on your iPhone.
Search feature on iPhone
There is another handy search function on your iPhone. By swiping down in the middle of the home screen, you call up the search function. You can then immediately type in the first few letters of the app name. All apps that meet this will appear at the top of the screen.
By the way, you can also tap the “Search” button on the home screen. You will then see the same screen where you can search.
Tip 3: Select text quickly
You know it: you type just a little too fast (or the automatic correction does something strange again) and you have to adjust the sentence. Did you know that there are several ways to quickly select part of a piece of text? This way you can easily select a word, a sentence or a part of the text.
- Select a word: Tap the text twice with one finger;
- Select a paragraph: Tap the text three times with one finger;
- Select a section of text: Double-tap, hold your finger on the first word, then drag your finger to the last word.
