2-in-1 notebook with Qualcomm chip is supposed to last 24 hours
No time right now?
With the Elite Folio, HP has introduced a 2-in-1 notebook with a Qualcomm chip and 5G modem that is said to have a long battery life. Videos should be able to watch 24 hours without reloading.
Due to the corona pandemic, the CES may only take place online this year. The tech companies still use the occasion to present their new devices. HP is also considering the corona crisis in its product presentations for 2021 and is aligning the computers – especially the new Elite Folio – to the mix of professional and private use in the home office, as the company explains.

HP Elite Folio comes with a quick charge function
The 2-in-1 notebook can be optionally equipped with a 5G modem, which means that mobile work with fast Internet should also be possible outside the office. HP also promises a long battery life for the Elite Folio. According to HP, the convertible lasted 24.5 hours of (local) video viewing on a single charge. Also practical: thanks to the quick charge function, the battery should be 90 percent charged within 90 minutes.
The HP Elite Folio comes with a 13.5-inch touch screen (resolution: 1,920 by 1,280). A privacy-friendly display (HP Sure View Reflect) can be selected as an option. The device can be operated via the integrated keyboard, but also with a fingertip and the enclosed HP Elite Slim Active Pen. The Corning Gorilla Glass 5 offers additional protection. The built-in webcam can be covered by a physical slider.
Snapdragon processor ensures performance
A Qualcomm Snapdragon processor (8cx Gen 2) with 3.15 gigahertz, which is supported by up to 16 gigabytes of RAM, works under the hood. There is also an SSD up to 512 gigabytes. The Elite Folio offers two USB-C 3.2 ports, a 3.5-millimeter headphone jack and a slot for a nano SIM card. You can access the Internet via 4G, 5G and WLAN connections. Bluetooth 5.0 is also on board.
The device with Windows 10 Pro is 298.6 by 229.6 by 15.95 millimeters and weighs from 1.3 kilograms. The HP Elite Folio will go on sale in February. HP plans to publish specific prices in the next few days.
